Today is a big day for us, last walking day on the Camino. Awake on the dot of 6 am to get organised and on our way.  Apart from finishing in Santiago it’s also about a 25/26km day on very weary feet. It was a lovely start though little villages and windy roads.  Not long after our first coffee, it started getting pretty busy with pilgrims again. A pilgrim highway, if you will…. Made it milladoira about lunchtime and this little town is about 7k from Santiago so we ate and rehydrated ready for the next and final walk. Met some jolly poms with a couple of km’s to go and they certainly helped us get it done. We were sore and hot and bothered and the cathedral seems so far away but the suddenly there it was. The square in front of the cathedral is packed with pilgrims arriving and the raw emotion that they are feeling is evident.
