T oday was always going to be interesting, as we cross from littoral( the beach)path across the coastal route to the central route. The first 10 k into villa de conde, went really fast and what a lovely city. Luckily we had google maps as it was pretty poorly marked (until we could see the albergue), we didn’t see anyone else and much of the time we walked along a highway. There were several wonderful locals that will confirm we were heading in the correct general direction! Even when they’re driving. Tough day, certainly by the end!!! 22km done and dusted. The albergue is really nicely done up,old building which was incidentally the first Portuguese albergue opened up in 2004. Only 10 beds in a 6x4m room . Thankfully they had beautiful hot showers. Although a challenge was that they were press button and lasted for about 20 seconds, I have to say that kept us busy!
