Here we are now approaching the camino de Portugal. We learned last time not to plan excessively and accept what happens. so, our plan is to visit Porto, hopefully commence walking the costal route, crossing over around vila de Conde to the central route then possibly variante Espiritual before again joining camino central to Santiago.
look up our previous camino Franco http://onthecamino13.blogspot.com
and our flown trip to Hadrian's wall https://onthewall23.blogspot.com
here is our gear, awaiting to be packed...my list:
osprey Kestrel 38l packsleep:mountain design outdoor quilt with silk bag liner, mountain design pillow (what can I say I'm getting old and like luxury)
cloths: 2 pair zip off pants, 2 t-shirts (merino), 1 shirt, 3 pair underwear, 2 pair inner and outer socks, mens compression tights, sarong, hat, hard shell vortex coat, salomon boots and crocks (ugly but light and comfortable)
toiletries, pegs, water bottle/bag, pocket knife, walking poles, dry sac to keep stuff dry and seperate, scrubber bag.
Call me paranoid, but I don't want to become friendly to bed bugs, so we have soaked or sprayed much of our gear with permethrin 0.5%
